Should be something else: users reported Slide Effect works well on Vista 64 bits and on Seven 32 bits, do I don’t think it comes from the OS.
Are you using a tablet PC or do you use a pen tablet or some other “custom” kind of input for the mouse?
alainKeymasterBonjour,
alainKeymasterthanks for the feedback!
I agree with you, and you are not the first to ask for this feature, it will appear in the future, but not on the next version.
It is already on my todo list.
Thanks again for the feedback.
alainKeymasterYes, I will take a look onto that. I am aware of the accidental rotation problem.
alainKeymasterAdded to my todo list. (But won’t appear on the next version)
alainKeymasterwell, standard movie output of Slide Effect uses the DVD codec. So if you are able to watch a DVD on the target computer it should work.. otherwise you will have to install the DVD codec (which is part of the vista codec package).
It is always a headache when you try to play a movie (not specifically a Slide Effect movie by the way) due to these codec things.
alainKeymasterwoot, happy you (finally) solved the problem.
I really don’t understand why you had so much troubles with the movie.
Did the movie played well in windows media player once you installed the vista package?
alainKeymasterthe vista codec package name is misleading but it is also for Windows XP.
You may also try to convert the avi file using Windows Movie Maker,it could help.
alainKeymasterDid you try to install the Vista codec package ?
alainKeymasterI agree.
It is on work, hope to add it on the next release.
alainKeymasterAnd if it does not work try to install the vista codec package…
check following link for more info:

movie.avi –> movie.wmv
and then try to reimport it into Powerpoint, it may work.
I recently realized that powerpoint checks the filename instead of the real codec.
Tell me if it resolves your problem.
January 25, 2010 at 20:11 in reply to: lets say: i want to make a ppt presentation on my computer and then use a usb to move it to another computer..read the full post #9941alainKeymasterWell,
First Point: Powerpoint (ppt) presentation are not (yet) supported by Slide Effect.
Second Point: If we are talking about a Slide Effect presentation (sef), once you have finished it, you can export it to a single executable file, copy this single file to the usb key and run it on any other computer without installing anything else.
Hope it answers your question 🙂
alainKeymasterYou have maybe a codec problem. Can you please download the following pack of codecs:
http://shark007.net/vistacodecpackage.html
install it and try again?thanks.
alainKeymasterYes, no problem, check this page: https://www.slide-effect.com/slideshow+examples
Especially “Musical Clip” and “Funky Musical Presentation”. these presentations contain Youtube movies.
