We released today the version 1.10.2 of Slide Effect Presentation Software (Professional and Standard Editions).

It is a maintenance release with just a few small bug fixes.

In details:

• SEF Files opening: If a font is missing, message is only displayed once.
• Images: Corrected a problem when using “Broken Lines” on images with a huge zoom.
• Copy files to tmp directory: Better handling when we have to overwrite read only files.
• Problem with backgrounds: Corrected a problem with corrupted backgrounds when Slide Effect was launched twice.
• Corrected a small problem on startup: In certain case, if a key was pressed on start, an error was displayed: it is fixed.

Slide Effect comes now with a lot more background templates bundled. We reorganized the categories, we created new categories, and we bundled some add-ons directly into the main package.

More background mode

Plane Background: This effect simulate a moving landscape.
Flag Background: This one simulate a flag in the wind.

• Movie Playing: When movies take a huge time to load, the time counter is now freezed to have correct animations.
• 2D Text: Euro sign is now displayed correctly.
• Background Preview: The background plain color is now displayed correctly even on very big screens.
• Movie Encoding: internal movies are now stored in wmv2/wma-asf(.wmv) instead of wmv2-avi(.avi) to avoid compatibility issues with old codecs.
• XViD Export: XViD export has been changed to be more compatible with DVD players and TV.

It is a maintenance release with just a few small bug fixes. It fixes mainly a problem when creating a very long movie with sound.

In details:

• Delay and duration for objects: Not anymore limited to 100[s].
• [PRO] PPT Import: Corrected a problem that may hang the application when a string contains only one character.
• [PRO] PPT Import: The ratio of the presentation is not anymore automatically changed to 4:3 after importation: It is fixed according to the PPT presentation
• Movie Export: Corrected a problem with the exported sound: an error was displayed in some rare situations. Fixed.
• Movie Export: Sound export now uses a lot less memory. Should not anymore crash on low end computers when creating large presentations.
• Self Executable Export: Did not add the music libraries in some cases. Fixed.
• Basic Backgrounds: Background image is correctly displayed when set to “stretch” on non 4:3 formats.
• Movie Export: When having movie and background sound in the same time, the global volume is set to 75% instead of 50% previously.
