when i installed the vista codec package i tried opening the .avi but then my whole screen started flashing to my screensaver…
it probably messed up because of the other codec pack :(.
last question: if i get the codecs to work and i want to transfer the .avi to another computer.
do i need to download the pack on that computer to let it works?
i was thinking the same :P.
since i accidental deleted 1 whole slide i worked on for hours.
woooohooo i finally finished all this stuff.
what i did is:
1 export the presentation to .avi.
2 uploaded the video to youtube.
3 used a power point swf trick top it in my powerpoint.
ill make a tutorial later on if you want.
ok now i installed the vista codec pack but now my computer is really “upset”.
screen starts flashing everytime i open it with windows media player :(.
thanks, i found out its for windows xp to just before you posted this, im downloading it at the minit.
and i’ll try converting the avi.
isn’t the vista codec package for windows vista only?
Cause i have windows xp.
Oh and i downloaded a xp package xp codec pack 2.5.0.
Anyway now i downloaded the xp codec pack the .avi file plays in windows media player but not in powerpoint.
i also tried to export it to flv, which didn’t work.
i am now trying to put the .avi on youtube, and then import it into powerpoint.
And i renamed it to .wmv but still doesnt work :*(.
Im going to try to download my slide using flv
ill try that later, and i tried looking for codecs for windows xp but cant find em :*(
