MemberWhen I export a presentation to a high quality AVI the images used are presented as I was looking at a negative.
Converting it to a mov file makes the color okay, but the sound is not added to the file. What am I doing wrong?
Regards,
Gerry

KeymasterSounds like a codec issue.
Maybe try to export directly to mov (using HD … settings), this should correct the sound problem.
For the negative colors, please try to update these codecs following this instructions:

MemberI downloaded the file, but it is not compatible with my system. (windows 7 64)

KeymasterPlease download VLC media player (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) and try to play the .avi movie in it.
If it plays Ok, it is definitely a codec issue, otherwise it is a problem on Slide Effect export.
Thanks.

MemberI downloaded and installed the VLC Mediaplayer, but the problem remains. I also tried the same on a Vista computer with the same result. Exporting to WMV gives a good movie.
What worries me a bit is that if I choose the lossles format, the file for the presentation of 94 seconds becomes more then 4 gigabytes. I think that is some overkill.

Gerry

KeymasterLossless is a format without any compression. So yes it takes a lot of space.
Can you send me a very small sample avi file with the negative colors to my email: alain@slide-effect.com ?
thanks.

MemberHi Alain,
I send you the file through wetransfer.com. You will soon get a downloadlink. It is only 1 second and about 40 megabytes big. The original colors can be found on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvyUtFIeTaE

KeymasterJust checked your movie.
Well.. colors are reversed, it is not a codec problem, you were right. Can you do three more things to help me out on this issue?
1) Send me the project file (*.sef) you used to produce the 1 second movie.
2) Give me the exact settings you used to export the presentation as movie.
3) When you export as movie, on the movie wizard there is a small thumbnail of the actual frame of the presentation that is exported. Is this thumbnail in negative colors too? Thanks for your help and patience.

KeymasterI found the negative color issue. It is fixed in 1.9.7beta1 available on “Product Updates” section of the website.
Thanks for your help!
