When I export a presentation to a high quality AVI the images used are presented as I was looking at a negative.
Converting it to a mov file makes the color okay, but the sound is not added to the file.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Regards,

    Gerry

    Sounds like a codec issue.

Maybe try to export directly to mov (using HD … settings), this should correct the sound problem.

For the negative colors, please try to update these codecs following this instructions:

Please download VLC media player (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) and try to play the .avi movie in it.

If it plays Ok, it is definitely a codec issue, otherwise it is a problem on Slide Effect export.

    Thanks.

I downloaded and installed the VLC Mediaplayer, but the problem remains. I also tried the same on a Vista computer with the same result. Exporting to WMV gives a good movie.

What worries me a bit is that if I choose the lossles format, the file for the presentation of 94 seconds becomes more then 4 gigabytes. I think that is some overkill.

    Gerry

Lossless is a format without any compression. So yes it takes a lot of space.

Can you send me a very small sample avi file with the negative colors to my email: alain@slide-effect.com ?

    thanks.

    Hi Alain,

I send you the file through wetransfer.com. You will soon get a downloadlink. It is only 1 second and about 40 megabytes big. The original colors can be found on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvyUtFIeTaE

    Just checked your movie.

Well.. colors are reversed, it is not a codec problem, you were right. Can you do three more things to help me out on this issue?

    1) Send me the project file (*.sef) you used to produce the 1 second movie.
    2) Give me the exact settings you used to export the presentation as movie.
    3) When you export as movie, on the movie wizard there is a small thumbnail of the actual frame of the presentation that is exported. Is this thumbnail in negative colors too?

Thanks for your help and patience.

I have send the information through wetransfer.com. It will arrive shortly. The movie I made is on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvyUtFIeTaE&feature=feedu This was exported as medium quality wmv

I found the negative color issue. It is fixed in 1.9.7beta1 available on “Product Updates” section of the website.

    Thanks for your help!
