Version 2.0.19 – Sporadic Crashes : (

I’m using version 2.0.19 and while it performs well 95% of the time, it still crashes if I am doing multiple changes or moves. For example with 18 slides of text and images. I was recently changing all of my slide text effects from many different effects to just one effect (Move in From Back) and when I was about 3/4 way through all of my slides it crashed. The same thing happened when I decided to manually change all of my random transitions to no transitions. It seem’s to crash if you are doing multiple actions and happen to begin a new action too quickly while another action is still finishing. My system had just been freshly rebooted prior to the crashes (I had 2 crashes while preparing one presentation, and also 2 player crashes that didn’t crash the program). I still recommend saving your work often, for a while I was only saving my work after maybe 5 or 6 changes but after my 2nd crash in one session I am back to saving my work after every change I make. Looking forward to the next update.

Thanks for the feedback. I am just back from Holidays, I will take a look at theses issues as soon as possible. But it is not easy for me to reproduce these sporadic crashes.

If you have a way to reproduce these errors every time, it will help me a lot to found and fix these issues.

Hi Alain,

I hope you had a nice holiday. I really wish I could find the exact way to reproduce the sporadic crashes (that way I could avoid doing those things and avoid the crashes LOL) but therein lies the problem with a sporadic crash. For example just on Sunday morning I was simply adding an image, I made a mistake and clicked on the Add Movie icon instead. I then immediately deleted the movie icon on the slide and it crashed. I had done that before with no crashes, so I really wish I could be more helpful. I am now saving my work after every change just because I don’t have the time to recreate my changes when the program crashes with no warning and seemingly for no reason.

ALSO VERY IMPORTANT – I have noticed that if I use the back button on a live slide presentation and then go forward again it won’t show the CLICK TO DISPLAY POINTS but instead it just goes advances the whole slide! I have had to reboot my live presentation to get my CLICK TO DISPLAY points to show. Very annoying for sure.

Anyway, as always I look forward to the next version.

Hi Alain

I have had a similar issue with Slide Effect for a while now. I’ve just gotten into the habit of saving after every change that I make. If I click more than once fast, it freezes. If I try to add a picture/video and I try to add something else too quickly, it does the same thing. I also could not reproduce these issues.
