updating to 1.8.0

I have Slide Effect pro 1.7.5 and I wish to update to 1.8.0 how do I update I have downloaded the new version but it wont install do I need to uninstall the other version first regard heather

The best way is to un-install 1.7.5, then install 1.8.0.

When you say “it won’t install”, what do you mean? the installer does not start? is there an error displayed? Maybe try to download once again the new version.

Hi Alain,
I have updated to 1.8.1 and tried to export to dvd. I used the HD 1080 it export as a mov. file not an avi why and when it finishes I try to preview in GOM player and there is no Picture it is black. I have downloaded the Codec still no picture please help. I have downloaded and installed new version over the 1.7.5 wil that make a difference cheers heather

– If you have no picture, that’s because you don’t have the h264 codec installed. You can either install it (http://ffdshow-tryout.sourceforge.net/) or play your movie on VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/).

– If you want to create a HD 1080 movie using AVI, just do the following:
– Choose HD 1080
– Then, on the same combo box, choose “custom” (To unlock the settings with HD1080 preset)
– Change the “Output Format” to AVI
– You can also change the video codec (for instance to XViD) as it seems you have issues with the h264 codec used as default for HD output.
