Usually, this problem appears when you are using a generic display driver (this generic driver does not support 3D functionalities, so Slide Effect cannot run).
The solution is to download the specific driver for your card.
Usually it is ATI: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx
or nvidia: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index5.aspx?lang=en-us
If it comes from another manufacturer, please check their website under “driver” section.
