    Hi!

When I import or drag a 1080p .PNG image it instantly losses quality as I drop it onto slide effect.

If I zoom in on the image in Slide Effect, then zoom in just as much on the image in another program, there’s a noticeable loss in quality in Slide Effect.

Project settings are set to 10,000 kbit/s (highest) and 16:9 ratio.

I’m not sure if this is how it’s intended to work.

    Hi,

Yes that’s expected behavior: Images are resized to 1024 pixels when importing to Slide Effect. We cannot keep higher resolutions to save some video memory.

We store images in the Video card memory and this memory is limited (something like 512Mb or the like), so we have to reduce (a bit) the quality. As these pictures are seen on a computer screen, usually this quality loss is not too much perceptible.

I see! Thank you for answering!

Normally I wouldn’t notice the image quality, but in this case the image I’m using have small text written in it. It’s a menu for a restaurant which is looping over and over with some effects, so the text is very small.

Will there be a future setting to modify how much memory Slide Effect can use?
